AI Explorers Challenge 03: Smart Helper Studio (Grades 3-5)
AI Explorers Challenge 03: Smart Helper Studio (Grades 3-5)
Smart Helper Studio: A guess needs a human check.
Your students invent a smart gadget for home or school with one twist: it can only guess, so they decide when a person has to step in.
Teams choose a helper like Plant Pal, Backpack Buddy or Jacket Check and name the person it serves. They build a paper screen with four parts: the Guess, a How-Sure Meter, a Human Check and the Next Step. A partner plays the user and draws Surprise Case cards to put it to the test. Along the way, students discover that the smartest design sometimes skips AI altogether.
Tip: The Teacher Guide recommends starting with Sort-It Bot. After that, teach the challenges in any order.
